Looking at a flat that has under floor heating. I've looked at makers
websites that make it sound OK. Can anyone compare it favourably with
conventional systems.

go and dry the little granddaughter's dresses and cardies laid out flat on
floor ! Poor Gran was sure her chilblains were much worse that winter. As
for us, we were temp. renting a house that was heated from above ceilings...
Our feet and lwegs were cold whilst the bedrooms were stifling , and the
bills were ridiculous..... All may have improved by now. Things move on ---
we certainly did. !!

Beware foam-backed carpets / underlays, they can become "bonded" to
the floor!
(This was in an electrically under-floor heated house, with
Marley-Tile flooring, + foam-backed carpets. Took 4 days to chisel-off
the rock-hard foam!)

And what does not bond ends up becoming a 'sootlike' substance ;)

Very appropriate as the flat we looked at was in a converted Bonded
warehouse.
