Not too concerned about the cup final myself but it would seem the company
building the new Wembley stadium is about to go bust cos of it all. Workers
employed by this company seen putting bets on about it not being ready in
time ...
2012 Olympics coming soon. Tube train driver's union already asking for
bonuses for their members if they promise not to strike during the games.
Blackmail or what ?
Lots and lots of building work to be done in preparation for the games
..... lots of money to be made. Lots of blackmail opportunities :-( All
will have to be ready in time to make this country/government look good -
so someone's gonna have to pay if it all gets behind schedule - who's that
gonna be ??
Yeah .... us - the Tax/Council Tax payers.
I have absolutely no interest whatsoever in the 2012 Olympic Games. Why
should I be forced to help pay for it ???

Stuff the games I say!!

Me too - probably a few million others as well :-( What other "sporting"
event are we forced to foot the bill for ??

closing the roads for the various marathons, half-marathons and other road
races; I suspect I'm contributing to the cost of maintaining the local
playing fields for the benefit of the Sunday League footballers; then
there's the sports stadia...
