A friend of mine who campaigns for a better State Pension highlighted the fact to me
on Monday that based on an hourly wage, it amounts to less than the minimum state
wage.
Is this true? Maybe somebody could do some calculations for me?

Insufficient data: no working time given.
Basic state pension: £84.25
Hours worked: Nil
pension per hour worked: Infinite!
Basic state pension: £84.25
Hours in week: 168
pension per hour lived: just over 50 pence
Basic state pension: £84.25
Minimum Wage (new rate from October: £5.35 per hour
Hours paid: 15 hrs 45 minutes
So the question is, do you work more than 15 hours 45 minutes a week when
you've retired?

If so, it is a disgrace really.
See you later. I'm off to the gym and then a swim.

The pensions in UK are a disgrace the recent raise would not buy you a
daily newspaper.
In the Budget we were promised so much but when?
