Sorry, I'm not ignoring you. My brand new (well 14 day old) headset
appears to have developed a fault.
Can hear you but mic now jbexvat.
John the R-T...
Tickettyboo...
|
I never touched nuffink! I never brokted nuffink!
Troy's Human...
|
That's *very* unusual :-)
Tickettyboo...
|
Do I detect a note of disbelief in your post Mr Human?
Ben! oh Ben..go bite his ankles for me, there's a good doggie :-)
Ben the Black Lab...
|
Done Miss. He didn't like it.
Snarl Snarl - I'll do anything for you Miss Boo :-)))
|
|
|
So there :-)
Tickettyboo...
|
ps..LOL I have been known to think I have brokted my mike.
errrmm...I forget that there is an inline switch where it can be switched
off ( handy if you have a cold and wanna blow your nose without blasting
the other person's ears off) and 'sometimes' I have inadvertently
forgotted to switch it back on again.
Check yours if you have one :-)
John the R-T...

Oops! Found it now. Looks like a wine glass with a swizzle stick.
I'd only seen the volume control. Maybe it's time to read the *huge*
manual that came with it. :-)
|
JoeH...
|
JoeH...
|
It must be David then ;-)
Tickettyboo...
|
Must be, cos I never make nuffink brokted
skinchies under her breath>
JoeH...
|
now there's a good Geordies word!!
pmj...
|
LOL!!!
I was just wondered what on *earth* that word was!!!
I was trying to decide whether it was one of Boo's Typos -
(which I know she often makes, cos she's always saying that
she ain't no good at Typing)...
& I was trying to think what it *should* have been typed as!!!
But it was *supposed* to be "skinchies", was it?
LOL!
:-)
So, go on then - please tell us down here in the South, what
a "skinchie" is?
JoeH...
|
Skinchies is essentially Geordie for "time out" i.e. "I require you to
halt this game until I'm ready again"
Rabbit...
|
We say *keys* for the same thing.
|
There isn't a singular "skinchie"
HTH
pmj...
|
So, is it a bit like "Feighnights" then?
:-)
JoeH...
I dunno if that's how it's spelled - maybe it has a "k" in it as well?
"FeighKnights" - but that's how it is Pronounced around here.
It means sort of "You can't get me, cos even though I'm here,
ready to be "got" (made "it"), I need a break from the hassle
& persecution, while I blow my nose/scratch my bum/do my shoelace up/
pull my socks up/play with my marbles/take my Jumper/Cardigan off/
re-plait my hair/cut/polish my nails etc, etc..."
Or whatever else it is that is putting you in a (temporarily)
disadvantageous situation/position.
:-)
ROFL!!!
:-)
I had to clear off out of that Site pretty quick, cos it looked
like World War 3 was about to break out!
& no amount of "Feighnights" (or "Feinites" as some of them reckoned
it is spelled!) - not double, triple or even *quadruple* ones!
Would protect you in there!!!
:-)
|
|
Or is the Singular of "skinchies", "skinchy"?
& is it good, or bad?
Would I want one?
& what would I do with one, if I had one, (or several?) other than
muttering it/them under my breath?
& would I get in trouble if I did mutter them?
Or are they s'posed to get people *out* of trouble?

My PC crashed twice during a Skype with DC earlier this evening.
(only joking David - honest!)
Rabbit...
|
So everybody and his dog gets to talk to DC except me. I don't have his
Skype contact. And I'll bet he was dishing out all that duty free booze too
:-(
David C...
|
I know, it's all my fault.
1.
Promise not to talk to JoeH again on the (delete expletive) laptop.
2.
Ask PMJ how to transport booze via Skype. (Hint, hint, do I need Borg
technology or is there any kit available fron Starfleet H.Q?).
Ali...
|
I've read there's an RFC on Ethanol transport over IP. Unfortunately I can't
remember the number.
Jeff Gaines...
|
3.
I don't have Skype installed on this PC, ('cos it won't accept a
microphone) so I can't check but ISTR that my Skype user-name in
davidem2.
If I'm wrong JoeH or John the RT will provide correct infp,
please.....
Have a nice day, y'all.
