Lovely Barb. You chopped Herbert Ingram's head off though :-(

Thank you Barb, great architecture there :)
BunnyHare...
|
Thanks Anita. I love snapping buildings but himself always says they are
boring without people in them!

Hey, now I'm glad you got carried away.
I've kept saying "I know that" or "I know there" as I've gone from piccy to
piccy!
And I never knew that Boston Stump actually was St Botolphs - I've learned
something from your piccies:))
BunnyHare...
|
Oh good, somebody else who learned something :-))
|
Thanks, Barb, they were lovely:)
|
MCC...
|
Just so long as the men in white coats don't carry you away :-)
Am I right in thinking that inside the Boston Stump, or maybe near the
door, is a gauge with different levels marked on it, showing the heights of
various floods over the years?

They're nice Barb. What lovely architecture.
I used to visit Hunstanton regularly so often wonder what the Boston Stump

I think I did hear something about that but didn't actually see it last week
when I was there
|
actually was.
BunnyHare...
|
Ah so that is something you have learned today :-))

Nice. The Stump was all I recognised from my trip to Boston but it was a
while ago when I could still climb The Stump :-)
BunnyHare...
|
If it is a while ago you may not remember some of the places and some are a
bit away from what my Mum calls the Monkey walk. I am sure you would have

One thing I do remember clearly was the cleanest public loos I had then ever
seen.
|
crossed the river on the Town Bridge though either in a car or on foot

|
Too long ago to remember the Town Bridge. The loos and the Stump were what
stuck in my mind.

Thanks for those Barb - very interesting, especially the 1 shilling note.
I wonder what it's worth to a collector now?
BunnyHare...
|
According to this about £4
|
|
Bram...
|
Was there a few weeks ago with Young Faust. We just stopped a while for a
quick dinner at a Wetherspoons.
Sausages were great :-)
That Stump is pretty big innit..? We had a good walk around it.
Rabbit...
|
Wimp!! I've climbed it and I know the person who used to be the vicar there
Bram...
|
It was closed.., and it was a fleeting visit to Boston anyway.
BunnyHare...
|
Shame. I think the tower is only open on certain days
|
|
BunnyHare...
|
Yes, I remember you saying before you had been to the top. Have you climbed
Rabbit...
|
I climbed up the hill to it, that was enough :-)
BunnyHare...
|
Yep - aptly named, isn't it?
Rabbit...
|
Without Googling is my memory right, was it * Steep Hill* ?
BunnyHare...
|
Nothing wrong with your rememberer, Steep Hill, and the last time I went up
there I was convinced it had got steeper since I was a child
Rabbit...
|
All hills are steeper nowadays ;-)
BunnyHare...
|
How very true, and flights of steps

Lincoln Cathedral?
|
:-)
|
BunnyHare...
|
Pretty big. I had hoped to take pictures from the top but it was that fine
drizzle and visibility was about zilch

Lovely pictures Barb, great one of the Swan on the building.
BunnyHare...
Once you use that Picasa you want to do more.
BunnyHare...

It seems that way. And I have loads of photos so you have been warned :-))
