I am trying to find out how to determine the legal standing as regards
next of kin.

Thanks Boo, I will be looking at that ng today.

Swambo is getting a runaround from the Social Services and the care
home with regard to the old lady. I find it terrible the conditions
she is living under and the previous carer has looted her bank etc.
The police are involved but so far it has taken over two years to get
any movement and is still ongoing. Even involving the local MP has had

Rabbit...
If she said she owned a gorilla skin coat the cops would act PDQ :-( That
BTW isn't meant to make light of a dreadful situation it just shows my
disgust at how the cops reacted to something some *celebrity* said, the
manpower used, the urgency it was treated with and the fact that any number
of innocent people could have used the manpower for more serious action.

Happy New Year Jaygee BTW and since it's the first I've seen you this year
( well I think it is ;-) ) XXXXX

And to you Sandra XXXX.
I have been keeping a low profile, though Boo spotted me :-)). Still
the perennial lurker. I read most posts, just not a lot to say.

very little effect.

It is very depressing to see what is going on.

The situation is an elderly lady (80+) and is in a care home. She has
two grandsons and a half sister, no other living relatives.
Who, legally, is her next of kin.

Any thoughts on where I can get this information.
