Aries...
That Tessa is certainly keeping me busy. When I came down to the kitchen
this morning it looked like a tornado had hit LOL Her water bowl was upside

donut...

~~seadancer~~...
Thanks, donut.
I found the poem, 'Tim, an Irish Terrier' online at:
Touching poem.
What does "massacree" mean? Not in dictionaries online
at onelook.com.

"Brothers and sisters, I bid you beware, of giving your heart to a dog to
tear."
Rudyard Kipling

Aries...
Good quote Donut :) How are you getting on with saving stuff for your new
pc BTW ?

donut...
Cannot think of a quote fitting enough Val.
Not too badly though.

Aries...
You are keeping your old one tho I believe so you can always run them side
by side for a bit to see what you need to transfer over as and when the
need arises - I've done that myself in the past :) And you could network
them and share files :)

donut

~~seadancer~~...
Oh, yes, donut! I love that quote.

Tyke...
Just a part of the settling in process I'm sure.

Aries...
Hopefully :)

Rabbit...
Ah the joys of a new pup. I remember when my sister's black Lab tried to
turn her house into open plan. Very fond of plaster he was :-)

Aries...
Oh dear LOL

down, the ribbon from my basket of flowers was chewed up on the floor, oven
gloves torn up with the insides all over the place, Tony's wooden box he
uses to take his meds away in completely broken into pieces, the top of one
of my wellies chewed off, and the door mat chewed all around the edge!!!!!

MCC...
Go on Tess! Give it some welly

Aries...
Hey, who's side are you on ? ;)

MCC...
Always on the side of the (under) dog :-)

Aries...
Groan LOL

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Well seems like there's only one left so that won't last for long. :)

I couldn't help laughing, at least it shows she has now settled in with us
and behaving as a puppy should LOL So tonight I must move everything

Jackie...
he!he! you certainly know you have got her now Val. We had a puppy Airedale
and he liked to chew the childrens toothbrushes also those rough green
saucepan cleaners!!! probably teething or some say `check for worms`!!
Lovely pictures though Val, she looks so innocent!

Aries...
I wormed her as soon as we got her back home so it isn't due to that. Most
likely boredom !

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Couldn't be Tess with a face like that. Perhaps she had a friend round
whilst you were out. :)

Aries...
As I said, butter wouldn't melt LOL

chewable out of her reach! A few pics here -

noreen...
They just don't like to be on there own and get bored , my friend who is a
puppy walker for
guide dogs, one of hers was so destructive they got a sort of cage from the
association and it worked .

She was put in there at night or if they went out , it was a rather big cage
and she got used to it . Not suggesting you go to those lengths !!! mine i
remember chewed a pair of new shoes I had got for a wedding, and
it was harder in those days for me to afford another pair. I would smack her
with a rolled up news paper
on her bott when she did anything like that , she did learn ;-)))) wont say
it was the right way but it worked ;-))))

~~seadancer~~...
Tessa certainly is a naughty girl! My goodness.
I suppose she thinks that with her cute looks, she
can get away with anything. (g)
We have a chewed rocking chair runner from a puppy
we once had. Also a chewed skirt on a living room chair.
It was brand new when it was chewed!
Oh, yes, I remember the puppy days.
Good luck puppy-proofing your house, Val. :)

Aries...
I'll need it LOL

~~seadancer~~...
LOL - Yes, you will. So here's some more...
Good luck and best wishes! :)

Graham...
If there is anything she chews regularly smear it with English
mustard.

Aries...
now that is what I call a tip :)

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
I presume from that snippet of information that dog's must like French
mustard then. :)

Ray.Milne...
Works well until your dog gets to like the taste of mustard, like our Meg
does, or mild curry.

Aries...
Oh dear LOL There were no chewed things or upheavals last night tho thank
goodness, and now she's discovered how to come up the stairs LOL New game
for her running up and down the stairs very fast LOL

Jackie...
Tessa has found upstairs - watch out for the bed then???there won't be room
for you two when she discovers it.

Aries...
I won't let her sleep on the bed -

Pam the goose...
We keep her access to our bed limited to when we are off to a rally that we
can't take her to. We put "her" blanket over the bed/pillows and she knows
she's allowed on the bed then.

Or she uses it when we go out for a long time.

But she cannot go upstairs otherwise unless she's with one of us.

When we go to bed so does she! But we sleep *on* the bed and she sleeps
*under* the bed! Her choice, not ours. She has had many beds bought for her
over the years but she won't use them. However one of our armchairs is
covered with a throw over and that's "Meg's chair":) She gets well and truly
told off if she tries any of the other armchairs when we're out shopping.
She knows she's done wrong and tells us as soon as we open the front door. A
definite hang-dog look and she walks towards us very slowly with her body
close to the floor! It's as if she's confessing:))

Aries...
LOL I recognise that look from the dogs we've had in the past - dogs
definitely have a conscience LOL

Rabbit...
Oh I remember saying that when I got my last dog. First he wasn't allowed
upstairs, then he could get upstairs but not into the bedrooms, then he
could get into the bedrooms but not onto the beds. I admitted defeat when I
used to waken son for school and found him curled in a small corner of his
bed when the dog was stretched out on the rest :-)

Aries...
aw - sweet :)

Rabbit...
Not really when son was six feet 2 inches by that time :-)

Aries...
Oh ROFL, surely you're teasing me LOL

Rabbit...
Nope he was that height from about 14 and yes he was curled into a small
ball while the dog was fully stretched out on his bed.

Aries...
What a picture that conjures up, it should have been the other way around -
the dog curled up, and your lanky son fully stretched out LOL

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Like that one of the cat asleep in the extra large (dog's) basket and the
dog upright in the very small (cat's) basket, that someone posted a few
days ago. LOL

~~seadancer~~...
I missed seeing that pic. Wish I had seen it.

Jackie...
Here is the picture FN mentioned, I posted it a little while back

I like it.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
I'm sure someone will have saved it somewhere - cue Rabbit!!!!!

Jackie...

~~seadancer~~...
ROTFL! That's so funny, Jackie!
Leave it to a cat to be so cheeky! :)
The poor pooch looks quite put out. So sweet.
He seems to be saying: "Why me!"
I really laughed out loud at that photo.
Who snapped the pic, Jackie?
Thanks so much for posting the link.

Jackie...
Its good isn't it? I don't know who took the picture, one of my nieces sent
it to me, I think she just found it on the internet.
I liked it and just shared it with the rest of UPS!!
The cat certainly looks the boss there!!!
I have posted it in reply to Sea... I put the picture up!!

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
There !! I just knew someone would still have it. Ta Jackie.

~~seadancer~~...
I liked it too, Jackie, and I just shared it with my whole family
by email. LOL I wonder if someone posed the dog like that.
But I wonder how could it be done without waking up the cat.
Dogs obey commands, but I don't think cats do... or do they? :)

Jackie...
My cat doesn't obey commands - or only when he thinks he will!!
It is a good picture but my Niece sends it from her work computer so I am
not sure where she got it!!

Foxy at w**k...
Oh Val lol

I hope you told her she was a naughty girl and put your hands on your
hips lol

Aries...
She just wagged her tail and bounced around pleased to see me LOL

Foxy at w**k...
Jen shakes her head. You are a soft touch Val.

Wrinklie One =?iso-8859-1?Q?=A9?=...
Methinks that you are going to have to get some sheep.... She's bored!!

Aries...
Move back to the country then - don't think we will be doing that now sadly
:(

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Well I believe her.

Troy's Human...
Oh dear - typical puppy :-( (we should know).

Have you considered a dog cage Val ? We had a cage when we first had
Bobbie. She slept in it every night and loved it. I fear we would have had
a lot of damage without it. Bobbie even went in the cage all by herself at
times - she considered it *her* home. Not used now she's grown up of course
- she sleeps in the bed !!!

Aries...
Oh yes I have but Tony refused to let me buy one - said it would look ugly

Anita...
Well that is one of the joys of having a dog - but they are fun :)
she will probably claim that chair for her own now to chew, until her teeth
come through LOL

in the kitchen - Sheesh - He's got ugly now alright LOL

I had a look at cages before we got Ben, just in case we got a puppy. Not

Smokey...
Oh dear Val, she must be teething :-))) it did make me smile, cos I remember
our dog chewing the side off my shoe, my lovely red
stilleto..............lol

Aries...
She must be teething I guess. I wish we had one of those dog cages to put
her in at night but Tony won't hear of it. Caused a huge row last week
when I showed him some on the internet :(

Foxy at w**k...
Why do men always want to row about things lol

Aries...
Bullies! LOL

too expensive. Google for "dog cage" if you're interested - lots about.

John the R-T...
Oh, I remember it well. We had a border terrier that chewed
anything/everything. He also used to lick the carpet until there was
a hole in it.

Aries...
crikey !
