Good morning all Upsers, wherever you may be
Hope you are all feeling well this morning or, at the very least, better
than you have been feeling
Took down my polythene greenhouse last week and sorted out the lean to ready

|
Once dawn breaks I'll be up in the greenhouse preparing everything
for winter.I cleared all the haulms yesterday, now to assemble the
tables and propagation bench for winter, and bring in the tender
periennials.
It's going to be a cold winter but we'll be snug in there,me and the plants,
planning for the spring. plenty of cuttings to take and seeds to sow.
Very tranquil.
Whatever you may have planned, have a Nice Day.

Rabbit isn't the only one that Sam inadvertantly upset this morning. It
was so early he probably hadn't properly woken up by then. I'd make a few
allowances Mike.
Rabbit...
|
Given that I'm k*******d you'll make allowances for me referring to you as
Welsh then Dewi :-)
|
I trust you are getting there now?
|
JoeH...

LOL - I was wondering who'd be the first - my money was on Sandra.
Pingu...

Well said Sandra! I was anticioating such a reply from yourself! I have
been absent for too long! :-( But now im trying to sprinkle ketchp as

Sorry Folk, no offence meant. Does this mean I can't write
"Good morning, Isle of Man" or "Good morning Guernsey"?
Not a very neighbourly lot are we ?

|
Rabbit...

Been too busy or you would have won your bet. Mind you it's not a proper UPS
GMT anyway :-)

Good afternoon Mike.

Splodge...
|
Good Morning Sam. Nice to see you up and about so early, although you're
making me feel a bit guilty when I look at my garden. I'm going off to look
up "haulms" now cos I try to learn one new word every day
jackie...
|
Good morning Splodge, I did'nt recognize that word either perhaps you can
tell us when you have looked it up.
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
I just did it for her ( sowwy):
haulm (hôm) Pronunciation Key
n. Chiefly Britis.
The stems of peas, beans, potatoes, or grasses.
Jackie...
|
Thanks you FN - I just like to know the meaning of new words!!
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Me too, but I tend to forget them quite quickly too if I don't happen to
use them much. :(
|
|
|
Had a very good day with our daughter and two grandsons yesterday and they
will be with us most of today. The boys are 12 yrs. and 6 yrs. They were on
my PC last night but everything is still o.k. today!!
Have a good day.
jackie...

Good morning Mike and everyone, I believe it has been raining during the
night but it is dry now.
Hope to hear news from Anita today and thinking of all the poorly ones.
Anita...
|
Morning Jackie, Ron had his echocardiogram today - unfortunately we have
to wait until 14th November before we see the cardiologist for the
result:(
Never mind - at least something has been started for him. He aches a lot
at present, but that unfortunately is down to the dampness in the air
and his various other complaints he has.
|
|
Splodge...
|
They're stems and stalks of certain plants, Jackie. There's a list of 'em in
me dictionary, but I won't list them unless you're desperate to know lol
Jackie...
|
No Splodge, I am not desperate to know, just nosey, never heard that
word before!!
|
Splodge
|
|
Best wishes to all the unwellies
Have a great day

Bri....
|
Morning Splodge, I have to do this now and again and find this very
useful:
It sits in the tray.
Highlight the word you're not sure of and click the icon for a
description of that word. ;-)
Jackie...
|
That looks a very handy tool Bri, its now sitting on my system tray,
thank you.
Bri....
biffo...
|
Thanks for that little prog Bri it is a gem, I have tried it and now it is
sitting there waiting to be used, ;)
Bri....
|
You're welcome Biffo, I hope it's half as useful to you as it's been for
me over the years. ;-)
|
|
|
You're welcome Jackie, I'm sure you'll like it ;-)

Thanks Bri. I've bookmarked it for future use, although I do have a load of
dictionaries etc here, and I'm a fan of general knowledge xword puzzles from
the DT and DM each week. I'm fascinated by words nowadays. Perhaps I'm
making up for a mis-spent youth lol

Good Morning All.

Must consider switching the C/H on soon.....:-)
Anita...
|
Ours has been switched on, but only fired itself up once in a week so
far;)
|
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Gosh that's warm. It's only 6.7°C here. What's C/H? :(
Anita...
|
Cold/Hot rofl I am sure you get worse with age ;))
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
I thought that you thought that wasn't possible in my case. :)
Anita...
|
What is in your case? Who brought your case into this?
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
I don't know, and I've lost the key. :(
Anita...
|
You sure that is not all you have lost? ;))
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
How can anyone be sure of thast? :)
Anita...
|
Perhaps it is a good job that we cannot be sure ;)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Of that we'll never be sure. :)
Anita...
|
Now, that is one thing you can be sure about - that we will never be
sure :)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
But are you really sure about that? :)
Anita...
|
Definitely ;)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...

Aah, I remember the Walthamstow Riviera well.
Larkswood Lido, the Hollow Pond.....
Anita...
|
Larkswood Lido died a number of years ago - on the site is a Gymnasium
and Swimming club and also a Harvester.
Shame used to have many an enjoyable weekend at Larkswood Lido :(
But the Hollow Pond is still around, don't think they can do anything
with that ;)

David C...

I thought you still lived in trees in the (west) North East :-)
|
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...

Well I should too, but I've only got a couple left on my land, and one of
those shades my pond so preventing a blanket weed problem in summer. Hadn't
you heard, we're running out of natural resources? :(
