While I liked * The Comedians* ( and let's face it there's not many now who
deserve that title unfortunately) I remember seeing him on some chat show
where he was brilliant and it all appeared completely unscripted.

Never saw him without a big grin. he had any even stronger accent than
me and was four time funnier... RIP

When SWMBO and I visited her sister and husband while they were living in
Garforth, near Leeds, many years ago, they took us to see Charlie Williams
at a club there. He was excellent.
