When a report was carried out on 'nibbles' on the bars of pubs, some years
ago, it was found that there were often traces of urine and bacteria on the
nuts and crisps as a result of customers fingers not being clean.

I wonder if anyone has done a similar survey on Chip-and-Pin keys?

We've been using money (notes and coins) for absolutely ages, so I don't
see that much has changed. Just look at now filthy some of your loose
change looks - then you could have a cause to worry.

for a very long time, I've been in the habit of washing
my hands after handling any money, if at all possible.
Call me obsessive! I don't care! I think it was reading
about money sometimes carrying parasite eggs/cysts that
did it for me. I reckon my immune system can handle the
bacteria ok ...
Sorry if I put you off your tea.
