AdAware UpDates - AutoMagic UpDate Checker thingy

Is anybody here interested in something that will *AutoMagically*
check for AdAware Updates (& possibly other things, such as AVG
UpDates etc,) on a regular Pre-Defined (& User Settable) basis?

That sounds interesting the freebie version of this doesn't allow to
autoupdate itself. So anything that could remedy that is of interest.

As an aside I use SpybotSD and I've got a scheduled task to run every
Friday when they provide updates. The command line you need is
reproduced below if you're interested.

C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SpybotSD.exe /autoupdate /autoclose

I've been Fiddling around Writing a little Script which will do it.

So far, I've sussed out how to get it to Check with the AdAware Servers,
to Fetch the "personalwu.dat" Text File (which contains
the Info about the Latest .ref File - the Date/Time & Version Number
of it & the URL of the actual .ref File to DownLoad)

& I'm now working on getting it to Check periodically & then Compare
it to see if there's a new one available.

Yes, *in theory*, you can use the (built-in) windoze Task Scheduler
(or "AT" Command) to make AVG check for Updates on a Regular
(& Frequent) basis, but from what I can gather, you can't get
AdAware to do that.
