Had grandbairns coming out of the woodwork all weekend. Four came to stay.
Sheesh but it was hectic. Parents picked the last ones up after lunch today.
The house is empty, jus me an the dog quiet quiet quiet. Oh heaven.

Tell me about it. I had my 2 this afternoon. Usually they are as good as
gold,but today the youngest aged 5 just flipped. We had a full blown temper
tantrum over something so trivial, I can't even remember what it was. It
was bad. In the end I just had to sit on the floor and hold her arms until
she stopped as she started throwing things and kicking, and saying dreadful
things. After about 15mins she stopped, and was ever so sorry. Glad when she
went home. Am worn out now.

You did the right thing Shaz not a lot you can do when they lose it and then
they have frightened themselves.
I bet you was glad when they went home. But it can be something as simple as
juice that is full of eees can send
kids into tempers like that, but it is upsetting for you ;-)

It was more upsetting for hubby cos he thought she was hurting me, but I had
learned how to hold children when teaching so that they did no harm to
themselves or others. I am going to suggest to son that he checks and writes
down all she eats and drinks. Also when she flips like that to see if there
is anything that could cause it. Son (her dad) had problems with dairy
products when young and could really flip. One time he wrecked his bedroom.
But we persevered and got it sorted. Trouble is nowadays if you mention it
to doctor they are so quick to use Ritalin and that is no good for them.

I agree Shaz !! does take a bitof sorting what the kids are having but it is
worth it in the end;-)))

Well, we had the 6 year old from 8am today and he has just gone - he is
a lovely lad - but it is so nice just to relax and do our own thing :)
