A general search for airline fares to Sydney should give you plenty of
options.
We're flying Singapore Airlines next month, looks like they have some
deals on at the moment according to the weekend travel suppliments,
although I booked our tickets some months ago via Lastminute. Another
good place to look by the way.

Definitely shop around.
Our preference is one of the far eastern airlines such as
Singapore/Malaysian/Cathay Pacific or even Japan Airlines.
I hear Emirates are very good as well.
Service is very important as it is a loooooooonnnnggg journey.
Price obviously comes into it.The winter months (here ) will be cheaper but
you will miss out on the sunshine in the southern states such as ours.
Watch out for long stops at the airlines home country - Singapore can have
an 18 wait for the connecting flight!!.Mrs Tyke or stop in an internal
hotel in the airport without going through customs,great to get yer head
down.

Thanks Russ. I will definitely be in touch as we have lots of questions. We
hope to get a 5 week break and take in Sydney, Adelaide, and Alice Springs.
