Sorry I missed this post yesterday. Spent most of yesterday shopping for a

John the R-T...
NP as we were away from home and had very limited access.

BunnyHare...
Hope you left Lincolnshire in a good condition ready for my visit in a
couple of weeks time :-))

John the R-T...
Perfect. But there's not a lot of falling down liquid left.

BunnyHare...
Just so long as there's hot water for a cuppa :-)

John the R-T...
site is under construction.

BunnyHare...
Not sure if it was Stokes when I was there, we just used to call it High
Bridge cafe. I don't like ground coffee but used to love the smell of

John the R-T...
That's the one. Stokes aka High Bridge cafe.

the coffee beans

Rabbit...
Did you ever walk past Coopers stores just to smell the coffee aroma ?

BunnyHare...
Where was that Sandra?

Rabbit...
Well web-search has surprised me. In the 50s every town had a Coopers ( and a
Maypole) I thought they were national grocery chains but since I hadn't
travelled very far then it might just have been a Scottish chain. All web-search

BunnyHare...
Have to admit its a new one to me. Might be a Scottish thing as you say

can come up with is
The aroma of real coffee was very strong in quite an area outside the shop,
more than any other grocery shop and it used to be lovely walking past the
stores.

John the R-T...
Wonderful smell.

bedroom carpet, then ripping up a parquet floor we discovered was under the
old one.

John the R-T...
Oh dear, we know that problem.

John the R-T...
There is/was and I like the effect.

MCC...
Sandra, in Firefox the 5 and 0 appear one above the other - on separate
lines, I mean. They look OK in IE6.

Rabbit...
Thanks Mike I did have it tested in IE but I wondered if it would jbex in
other browsers. They are both .dcr files, whatever that means, I just came
across them when I was looking for animated 50s and thought it worth a go.
I'll know the next time but it was worth a try, nothing ventured and all
that :-)

Ali...
Nothing wrong with the .dcr files, the problem seems to be the containing
table cell was too narrow, so the images stacked one above the other.

On Wrinklie's page they are side by side in the bottom left-hand corner in
Firefox and centred in IE6 but with a black background in both.

Wrinklie One =?iso-8859-1?Q?=A9?=...
That would appear to destroy the theory that the tag is cross

Ali...
The embed tag is cross browser compatible. What goes inside it may not be.
But in this case the problem with Sandra's page appears to be putting two
objects with a width specified in pixels inside a container with a width
specifed as a percentage, which turns out to be narrower than the two
objects side-by-side, at least in my set-up. There is inconsistant useage
of pixel and percentage lengths throughout the page.

With Wrinklie's, there does seem to be a difference in the treatment of
embedded objects in a centred paragraph.

browser compat

Wrinklie One =?iso-8859-1?Q?=A9?=...
That is because the numbers have a black background... Sandra's page was
black so number background blended in ?-)

jamps...
Beautiful card Sandra.
The *50* worked for me!

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Well done JRT and missus. Here's to the next 50 ;)

John the R-T...
Thanks FN. We've suddenly gone off you. ;-)

~~seadancer~~...
I've been wondering what that means...
"We've suddenly gone off you."
Can't figure it out.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
;(

JoeH...
Well done JRT and GGJ on your 50 years of marriage.

John the R-T...

Congratulations to you both, enjoy you special day.

JoeH...
Oh b*m, I always have problems with my r's.
Here's the missing one "r". LOL

Wrinklie One =?iso-8859-1?Q?=A9?=...
And from me :-)

(Ta Sandra)

~~seadancer~~...
I'm coming in late on this one.

John the R-T...
It's never to late.

I had flagged it earlier, but must have been missing the flag.
Hope JRT and his wife had a wonderful 50th Anniversary.

John the R-T...
We did thanks. Quiet but that is how we wanted the day to be.

Nice webpage, Sandra.

MCC...
Wrinklie, see my reply to Sandra.

jamps...
Good card WO although I found the font a bit dificult to read!

There's a lot of nicking going on today! :-)

Foxy at w**k...
Congratulations from me too John and Jean. Hope you had a terrific day

John the R-T...

~~seadancer~~...
Yes, I often think of what we should do for our 50th, IF we
make it to 2010. We were married in 1960.
A party is too much trouble. We had a big one for our 25th.
It's also too expensive. I had a big one when I turned 65.
That leaves travelling somewhere for a special vacation.
I sometimes think of doing that.
But I've noticed that quite a few people spend the day
without too much hallaballoo.
I guess by then we're too tired. (g) I'm tired already. (g)
Sometimes parties are over-rated.
Thanks Jen we did.
