I'm still calm

At least I now have a cooker and hob for my kitchen!!! The units are due to
arrive tomorrow. Builder is coming Friday I hope :((

Well yes he did!

Sorry for the delay Jackie!! I have hot and cold running water and a sink
which is very handy. Some of the base units and 1 work top has been fitted.
Just six more base units, six wall units, the oven and hob to go. Then of
course the tiling. New power sockets and a blind for one of the windows.
Then of course we have to put every thing away again. I have had words with
Mrs E. and told her, if we find something we haven't used for years, it goes
in the skip. Very old Soda Stream and assorted bits is already on the list
as are various coffee makers. We use the Gaggia now. Old food processors
have been transferred to the fishing department for making bait etc.

Is that all that has been fitted I thought you would have had one complete
soopa doopa kitchen ready by now
did B&Q turn up as promised this time?

They more or less arrived on time, but it will be a soopa doopa kitchen when
it's done! If I could just keep the MIL out of the kitchen. She gets lost
easily and puts things down everywhere. If she stays still long enough, I
could always box her in behind one of the units.

That's expecting a bit much Jackie!!! I am still waiting for an answer to
several questions from them. They did phone from the depot and ask, 'that
now I had it installed, was I satisfied with the units'. I am afraid my
reply was a little short.

We have renovated several houses (and had to live in them).

At time like this it makes you really appreciate that the kitchen is the
center of the house.
We often became fed up when we started to go around the local takeaway's
menu for the third time :-(
