Just missed a perfect picture this morning - just went to our patio door and
started to open it when I saw our cat Delboy and a Magpie sharing the same
dish of cat biscuits, of course, Mapgie few away, grrrrrrrrrr

I was so surprised Splodge, I know Delboy doesn't mind the blackbirds in the
garden but I think that Magpie had cheek!

If she does they'll probably be both in the house eating from Delboy's dish.

That brought back memories. When we had our farm, we had cats and hens
often eating out of the same dish - the hens ruled of course LOL

I will have to try and catch them sometime, usually Magpies are very
aggressive !

and brave ;)

I think Del-boy was brave - he has been hiding from the Herring Gulls lately
as they have been swooping down near him as they are busy nesting.

yep, a sharp peck of those beaks would be something to avoid me thinks LOL

When I lived in Shetland I 'adopted' a herring gull that had a deformed
beak - it crossed over rather than met in alignment. This deformity meant
that the gull wasn't able to preen himself properly so he always looked a
right dishevelled mess. So I named him "Gulldof", after Bob Geldof, who I
think is one of the most untidy people on TV :-))
Anyway, Gulldof would regularly come in the house if the back door was open
and help himself to whatever was in the cat's dish. The cat took a fairly
dim view of this but always gave way to the gull. Never saw them eating
from the same dish at the same time though.
Must have been highly amusing to see the cat and the magpie together
though.

about it too!

Isn't it always the same - carry the camera around and don't see a thing
to photograph - put the camera down and then see a good shot but too
late by the time you get camera
