She was lovely ......
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - June Allyson, the stage, film and television
actress best known for her girl-next-door charm and winsomely husky
voice in such 1940s MGM classics as "Good News" and "Little Women," has
died at age 88, her husband said on Monday.

Yes, I was sorry to hear the news about June Allyson passing away.
Somehow she is part of all our good memories.
And yes, she was "lovely". You don't see many genuinely lovely
stars like that anymore, lovely in all ways.

Hi Len: The news that June Allyson died & was 88yrs old
put me on a nostalgic road to reality. God, when she made
the movie Strategic Air Command I was part of SAC. She
was cute & her movies always made me feel good. One of
my favorites was a small move entitled The Enchanted Cottage.
Of course there were many more & the realization that she
passed away at age 88 my first thought was where did the time
go? Good by June. God will take care of you now.

Dorothy McGuire was the actress in The Enchanted Cottage. All
the movies June Allyson made I pick one that she wasn't in. I guess
when people say "that John is as dumb as he looks" they hit the target."
