Boy Racers

We are hidden behind a Council, Public Coach and Car park, during the day we
dont hear a thing, could almost forget it was there.
But come the evening, after all the tourists have left, the car park is
taken over by boy racers, about 12 of them, they have their radios blaring
full blast, and keep revving up their engines , then race of down the road,
only too return a few minutes later.

Oh no that's awful. And in a refined town like that too!
Hope you manage to get something done about it - local council,
neighbourhood watch or something
Best keep an eye on Himself, don't want him tangling with them

They have been reported to the police many times, but they say they cant do
anything about it, have you ever heard such rubbish, "Himself" wants to go
out and tackle them about it, but I wont let him, he cant take on a crowd

What about a letter to the Chief Constable with copies to your local media
(press/radio/TV) and council, then follow ups depending on what
action/inaction is taken.

Hello Phyl, have you tried contacting the noise abatement department at
the local council?

That is bad Phyl I think I would do what Anita suggests they may be able to
help you, especially if you could get a few of your neighbours to write
letters saying how bad it is.

I have a 21yr old stepson who is a Telecoms engineer. He spent several
months passing his driving test. Once he passed he was given a Compnay
van - marked with the company logo/telephone number.

In the past 4 months he has had 4 complaints to his compnay about his
driving i.e. him cutting other drivers up, 2 speeding tickets and was
even followed home and confronted by an angry motorist he had cut up.

After several verbal and 2 written warning from his company, he
eventually got dismissed.

He now wants to borrow our car!! btw his mmmother is an advanced
driving instructor.

It appears no matter what you tell these young people, the just don't
llisten!.

Hmmmmm Seems that young man just thought he knew better that everyone, so he
got what he deserved. I wouldn't lend him my car. Mind you, one cannot tar
"all" youths with the same brush

The police can do something about it Phyl but they sound like the police
around here, they just don't want to, it's too much trouble for them.
