Why do they have to be so RUDE at that age??

Because it shows how grown-up they are ;-)

the ice-cream van. I just had to have a £1-40 99 didn't I? Anyhow the
woman in front of me got her ice-creams, went back to her large black BMW
people carrier, leaned inside gave the kids in the back their ice-creams
and then got into the driver's side, started the engine - (no seat belt
on) - and proceeded to drive up the narrow winding steep village road
towards the church. Nothing too bad in that I hear you saying. Well she
had a large ice-cream cone in her right hand and only had her left hand on
the steering wheel. I hope the car was an automatic, 'cos she'd be in
real difficulty 50 yards or so up the hill having to negotiate twisty bends
on a 1 in 4 hill - incidentally the bends are mostly blind now that all the
trees are fully leafed. I suppose if she did have an accident, the
ice-cream vendor would get the blame. Don't these mother's care about the
safety of their kids? Reminds of the woman I saw some time ago, with a

No. Obviously not. Nor do they give a monkey's about any one else
along the route that they are using.
If I ruled the world I would have the car towed and crushed.
No appeal. Just the bill for towing and disposal.

I get the same feeling when I see folks riding bikes on a busy road,
pulling a baby-attachment on wheels connected to the rear of
their bike. I can't believe the risks people take with their children.

Pingu...
I'm with you on this one, as an ex-cycle person myself, I speak with cycle
users in high regard. I saw last year a bike user in front of me tearing
down an ajoining road to kine with one of those Baby/child attachments in
tow, as the driver came towards the junction joining the main road I saw him
lose the back end of the bike ( the child attachment\) which skated on it
side accross the the juction in front of me. I remember at the time hinking
I should stop and return to the scens and ask if he and the child were ok,
but something told me that he was fully aware of the procedure when meeting
oncomming traffic at higher speed that he.

That certainly confirms my feelings about the danger of
towing baby/child attachments behind bicycles.
People take too many chances these days.
Children are too precious to take chances with.
