Sky is to launch its residential broadband service this summer. More here -

That was in May. I believe they announced today a similar type package to
Carphone Warehouse's free BB.

They've just said on the news today that the Sky Broadband is free to their
customers who are on TV packages of £15 or more per month, delivered down
your BT copper wires, so you'll still have to pay the BT line rental.
Rabbit...
|
Yeah but AFAIK you need a BT line to get Sky TV anyway ? I'd still need to
read the T&Cs carefully if I was thinking about it. I'm not thinking about
it but it looks like after Talk Talk then Sky that the conventional ISPs
will need to offer something extra if they want to attract new customers.

Since I'm still a cable customer I'm not likely to buy a Sky package,
but I wonder if / when NTL / Telewest prices will drop, especially for
their existing customers?
|
|
Thought I'd point that out just in case someone thought they were delivering
the goods through the satellite dish. I believe that type of of wireless
broadband is available elsewhere.
