If you need to type a vowel with an acute accent eg. áéíóú or ÁÉÍÓÚ and
have a standard uk keyboard you don't have to bother with the hassle of
windows character map, simply hold down the AltGR key (this is next to
the spacebar) as you type the letter.

Ánd íf yóú hávén't gót an AltGr kéy, hóldíng dówn the Ctrl + Alt keys does
the sáme thing, €éxcept ctrl-Alt-e give you the €uro sign as well.

Not on my key board it doesn't that's AltGR+4 Ctrl+Alt=e gives é

Mine does it that way as well '€' but Ctrl+Alt+e gives '€é'. This may be a
bug in the keyboard driver or locale.

I used to use Ctrl+Alt+vowel before - using AltG+vowel is a tad easier.

Sadly I use some keyboard shortcuts that have been assigned to some of
those. I had no idea that AltGr + Key was equivalent to Ctrl Alt + Key.

Yet something else I've learnt today :-)
