John in Cornwall...
What a wonderful day !!
We went to Bude in North Cornwall and had an outdoor lunch - which was more
like sitting in the Spanish sunshine. Afterwards we made the first steps in
our trip to Australia and New Zealand next year - we went to the travel
agent for the brochures.....
I must admit is is difficult to make our minds up... there is so much to see
and do and 6 weeks doesnt seem to be long enough either....
We are planning on May or June of next year. New Zealand weather seems to be
a bit chilly though..... Anyway - tonight we are going to sit down with the
brochure. Hope I can stay awake as thoes things tend to make me drop off to
sleep.

Jackie...
How nice to be planning a holiday to Australia and New Zealand, I expect our
Tyke (Russell) could give you a few hints about your visit.

Anita...
Have fun :)

Splodge...
That sounds like a great holiday you're planning John. I could never fall
asleep while planning a holiday cos it's too exciting. My OH and I used to
look at the brochure separately and make our own notes of which places we
liked and the page numbers. Then we looked at the ones we had both chosen.
So much easier. In fact, it was almost the only thing we didn't row about
lol

Good luck whichever you choose John.
We don't have that prob, we will be of to Brid in August. Love it there.
Could live there and spend the rest of me life raking around the harbour and
walking the the many walks.

Tyke...
Hi John

I'll bet you are excited to be planning such a wonderful trip.

Just one bit of advice............

At that time of year it will be winter down here. The temps are pretty
constant in the north of Australia, but it will be cool down here in the
southern states. Adelaide,Melbourne and Sydney will be around 14c - 18c.

John in Cornwall...
Hi Bill ....

Brid ?? Where is Brid ?

John in Cornwall

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time whenever you visit though.

John in Cornwall...
Tyke Hello !!!!!
Thank you for a wonderful reply !!
We did spend some time on the brochures and we have got a sort of itenary
whis is just a rough guide at the moment.
We are realising that to get the (not to hot) weather in the Northern
territories we have to go in May and June - which conflicts with decent
weather in the southern parts of the journey like Adelade , Perth and New
Zealand. Tis a hard choice.
Here is what we hope to do:

London - Bankock for (3 day stop over)
Bankock to Darwin ( 1 week Darwin area )
Darwin to Cairns ( 1 week Cairns Area )
Cairns to Brisbain ( 1 week Brisbane area )
Brisbain to Wellington ( 1 week North Island )
Wellingto Ferry to South Island ( 1 week )
South Island to Adelade ( 1 Week )
Adelade to Perth ( 1 week )
Perth to sinapore (3 days stopover )
Sinapore London .....
Any comments and or suggestions with regard to weather would be really
appreciated.
Best regards
John in Cornwall

Bigbazza...
I noticed that you have not included Sydney and Melbourne in your
Itinerary....Sydney is the largest City in Oz followed by Melbourne...
Sydney is the 'Birthplace' of Australia...Also I noticed that you have not
mentioned 'Tasmania'...That is where most of the convicts were sent to when
they arrived from England...A very essential and beautiful part of Oz !
