Picked up my first tick of the year yesterday, either when jogging or in the
garden ;-(
Seem to get several most years, both here in the Forest and/or in the

Years ago I got a tick stuck in the skin on my tummy. I didn't then even
know it was a tick,I'd never seen one. Of course not knowing what it was I
wasn't aware of the potential danger but I think I pulled it out the right
way, which was more good luck than good judgement. I've no idea where I got

We got a lot more conscious of them when each had a dose of Lyme disease in
the early '90s. Here they are mostly very small so easily missed until an
itch starts.

it but I did have a dog at the time and we did walk through woods etc. I
still can't figure out though how it got to the upper bit of my tummy before
it stuck, that bit is usually covered :-)

They crawl surprisingly quickly!

Went out for a walk this afternoon and the wind was very strong and very
cold, making the hailstones hitting the cheeks most unpleasant. Being
school holidays the ice cream van was parked up next to the village cricket
field. Well I had to have a £1-20 99 flake didn't I?

You paid what ??? With real money ??? Sheesh I bet you need some Prozac now
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Well it was the first one this year, and let's face it, ice cream is one
of those necessities of life, innit? :)
Rabbit...
|
No. It used to be when it was *real* ice cream not that soft white stuff
which passes for ice cream today :-(

|
Well Monfredi's who operate the ice-cream vans round here has been a family
business as far back as I can remember, and it ain't changed that much.
It's nothing like the stuff you get at the supermarket - except for
Bradwell's Original Creamy Vanilla ice cream - another relatively locally
made one.

Well where's the piccie of that wonderful rainbow you must have had then?
Rabbit...
|
That's a thought there should have been a rainbow but it must have been in a
different direction to my two windows in here 'cos I never saw one.

I've heard that mud baths are good for one's health and complexion, but
eating worms is a new one to me. :)
Rabbit...

Nobody likes me, everybody hates me,
Guess I'll go eat worms,
Long, thin, slimy ones; Short, fat, juicy ones,
Itsy, bitsy, fuzzy wuzzy worms.
