Can anyone out there tell me how to get captions onto photos in a slide
show
on a DVD?? Please Help

Try using Picasa from web-search. It allows the addition of captions and makes
CDs/DVDs very well in addition to web based slide shows.

Short answer is that I have no idea. Longer answer ( of sorts) is that if
you can post to say what software you are trying to use, someone round
here may know something about it and be able to help.
If you don't have software, then try searching the web for photo slideshow with
captions and see what comes up. There may be some freeware out there
somewhere, or a reasonably priced program. You could also put your search
into groups, again it may bring up some hints as to how to go about
it.

the individual photos, edit them in a graphics package such as PSP or Adobe
to put your captions on the bottom, and reconstruct the slide show. I don't
know if you can rewrite to a DVD though, you might have to write the new
slide show to a fresh DVD or CD-ROM.
