Rabbit...
I had a friend here for New Year din dins who brought a bottle of their
Chardonnay. I can't say it's my favourite Chardonnay but being the polite
person I am, I drank it anyway even if it was served with all the wrong food
according to their web site. I think I may have to lie down soon :-)

Almost smacks of decadence to me. :)

Tyke...
The Vineyard is just 10 mins away from me.

You did not say which of the Chardonnay's it was - perhaps the Lizard did
not escape with one variety.
I've read the tasting notes breifly and there is no mention of "oaking"
which can produce a strong taste.
The Chardonnay does vary very much here - a lot of it is very much "full on"
in style and flavour - not watered down by blending as in Europe.

Are you sure it was a Chardonnay ?- I not the Winery is experimenting whith
other whites.

Chardonnay is not my favourite (I'm more of a Shiraz person myself).

I'm not much into the theory of which wine goes with which food. It's good
to have some guidelines but a good wine always shines through.

Sorry it was not to your liking.
There is much more chance to test our local wines, Maclaren Vale has over 50
established open cellar doors + many more coming online.

All this while I'm still on cuppa #1
