Where is the best place to buy blank DVD discs.
I have bought a Lite-on 5115 GHC DVD recorder, does it matter what brand I
buy to use on it ?
They seem to vary a lot in price, can you recommend any particular brand ?

That model supports DVD+R / DVD+RW, DVD-R / DVD-RW for recording but
unfortunately the website doesn't say at what speed. Does the manual?

No I can't see anything about speed, just 4.7 discs and different qualities
fo recording time, eg: High quality I hr standard 2 hrs etc.
Guess it's trial and error to see which it likes.

I use Datawrite full face printables x8 from SVP - £6.51 for 50. Plus
postage of £5.49 for next day or £4.99 for economy delivery.
Full list of printable DVDs at
My CDs also come from SVP.

TIA

Thank you all for your help, looks like it's a unanimous decision :-)

I've bought Blank CD & DVD (both Recordable & ReWriteable) Disks from
PC World & Maplins & they work OK

They often have special Deals on - for some time the price has worked
out at about 20, 25 or 30 Pence each (for DVD+/-R), when bought in 50s
(i.e about 10, 12.50 or 15 Quid for 50 or about 3 Quid for a 10 Pack).

If you want Sleeves &/or Cases for them, then they cost a bit more -
Spindle Packs are the cheapest way to buy them.
