Troy's Human...
I know a lot of you like warm weather - I can stand just a little bit of
it. *But* this extreme stuff has gone on for 3 weeks now and I've had quite

Shazonlaptop...
I know what you mean. I know we shouldn't moan, but it is making me feel
quite poorly as well. The lack of sleep doesn't help. I can cope with dry
heat but not this humid sort.

jackie...
I agree with you all, I don't like this hot weather, we are just not used to
it in this country.I can just about cope with it here by the seaside I think
I would be ill if I lived more inland!

enough of it. I can't cool down and am feeling ill most of the time. OK -

BunnyHare...
Me too, so please get rid of the excess heat before I arrive there
tomorrow, thank you

it's down to 65°F outside at the moment but it's still 78°F inside the
house and despite *all* the windows being open and a breeze blowing through
the house I can't get it lower than that :-( Can't sleep properly and that
leaves me with no energy during the day.

Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuk !!!

Old Grizzly...
I have to agree with you. It is being *too* hot ;-)

linedancer...
I don't think it is the heat as much as the humidity that we get here, I
can't stand that, we have just come back from the north of Tenerife and that
was just the same as it's very green there, if you walked anywhere you came
back wet through, yuk, I have been in the desert area in USA in 100 degrees

May...
that

~~seadancer~~...
I know what you mean, but now that I have my $50 poor man's
pool, I keep wishing for hot weather so I can enjoy a dunking. (g)
Here I am cooling off:
It's called a Simple-Set Pool. Ours is only 8 feet in diameter and
2 & 1/2 feet deep. Just enough to float in. See it at:
It's a solution. (g)

linedancer...
That looks just about right to keep cool in, I am sitting under my parasol
in the garden reading and have just come in to make a large gin and tonic,
what more could I ask for ? (apart from your pool to sit and drink it in ;-)

~~seadancer~~...
Sounds very comfy, Pat.
It's only 9 AM here in the USA. So I'll have to wait until cocktail
time for my gin & tonic. (g)
What are you reading? I've been reading "Before You Know Kindness"
for over a month. Can't find time to sit down and read.
Am paying a daily fine of 15 cents per day because it's late at the
library and it can't be renewed. But I wan't to find out how it ends. (g)

linedancer...
Just reading magazines Sea, your book sounds really good, if I get a book
like that I can't put it down, you must have tremondous will power ;-)

~~seadancer~~...
No, Pat. No will power here. (g) It's taking me longer than usual to
finish the book because this writer (Bohjalian) seems to draw things
out too long and his reading style isn't really that exciting, IMO.
It's just that I'd like to know how the story will end. He's got the hook
in. (g)
The front of the book has the following quote:
"Before you know what kindness really is
you must lose things..." -Naomi Shihab Nye
The protagonist in the novel has lost the use of his arm and that
accident has changed his life and relationship in profound ways,
not all for the worse, either. Interesting perspective.

May...
drinks as a thank you..........
Marg.

~~seadancer~~...
OK, I'll move over. There's plenty of room in this pool with an
8 foot diameter! (lol) Come on in. The water's fine! :)
Thanks for the iced tea. (g) I hope there's a sprig of mint in it! (g)

and could stand that as it wasn't humid, the same in the Greek island we go
to, hot sunny days without the humidity, but I aren't going to grumble, we
have eaten all our meals outside under a big parasol and loved doing that,
after all you are a long time inside during the winter, we manage to keep
cool at night by putting a fan on and sleeping on top of the bed au natural.
Now after the rain it isn't as humid so it's more enjoyable.

noreen...
I agree with you !! I get very hot and uncomfortable !! and do feel sorry
for
the workers , but I hate winters more and we have more of them than this
;-))))

Tyke...
LOL

I'm the same with the humid British heat I'm afraid.
Mrs Tyke is having trouble sleeping in the Uk - she is used to
airconditioning.

noreen...
I can imagine how she is feeling then , wont be long now till shes home
;-)))

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
66°F outside here, and since I've only just closed all the windows I'm
happy to say it's only 67°F in my bedroom atm. Must be OK since a certain
b/w moggy is sitting on the end of my bed having a quite comprehensive wash.

Anita...
Shame ;))

:).

noreen...
I know how you feel TH I think the electric fans do help though ;-)))
