There's a raw easterly wind making it feel not very warm :-(

Looks like we could be in for some heavy rain soon.

It's dull, dreich and damp here, not particularly cold but the dampness gets
right through you no matter what you are wearing.It all seems to be back to
purritch and auld claes here but the supermarkets still haven't had fresh
deliveries of everything yet.

Still a bit dark here in Gloucester but can't hear any wind or wet stuff
Have to start getting a few things sorted today as I am trotting off to
Lincolnshire on Saturday for belated Ch******s celebrations with Mum

Wow. Giz didn't get off my bed 'til 10-00 - then breakfasted and ventured
out around 11-00. He's back in now, had lunch, had a bath and is back in
bed. :)

Sounds as though you are going to be very busy, I am sure your Mum is
looking forward to seeing you. I hope the weather is kind to you and your
travel is o.k.

So have to fill the freezer so the stay at homes don't starve, wash and
iron so they have clothes to wear etc etc

Dry and chilly here too. Even thiugh it's now well afternoon the outdoor
temperature is only 2.4°C (36.3°F). Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Good afternoon Noreen, we have been out and it is bitterly cold, though
sunny and dry.

SWMBO and her friend are off to Truro later this morning on the bus leaving

They have returned and report seeing daffodils in bloom on the roadside in
two of the villages between here and Truro.

Whilst not in bloom here, I am amazed just how far on they are here as
well. Winters just are so much warmer than years ago.

Will try and get photos tomorrow.

We have a Japanese cherry tree in bloom here, don't know if it will
survive any frosts though :-)

me in splendid isolation :-) No doubt the pair of them will come back
dripping with plastic bags as usual.

One of my Christmas pressies was one of those page-a-day desk calendars
showing an anniversary and a proverb or other well-known saying. Today's
saying is "Whatever you're up to, make sure it's not your neck!"
