linedancer...
I have added you to my Skype contacts, I don't know if they send you a

pmj...

message or something with my Skype name, but it is linedancer 566

pmj...
Yes, when you Add someone to your Contacts in Skype, it Sends them
an "Add Contact" thingy, so they can choose whether or not to Add
your Skype UserName to their Contacts & whether or not they want
to Share their details with you.

BTW - Your Skype Name isn't actually "linedancer 566" - it's
"linedancer566" - there's no Space in it - there are *loads* of
"linedancers" (with various other bits on the end), in the Skype
Directory & it only shows some of them each time you do a Search,
so it's usually a good idea to give people your correct Skype Name,
so they can find it easily.

I just had a thought, glad it isn't 666 isn't that something demonic :-)

I have just bought a headset with mic attached, but it is not connected up
yet, Jack is out and I daren't do it.

I want to try it out when it is connected so I might Skype you sometime.

noreen...
You can Skype me too Pat noreen2005;-))))

Foxy at w*rk...
I will get a message Pat and add you, I don't have Skype here at w*rk though
so it will have to be when I get on the home PC

Old Grizzly...
i have you as Noreen742004 isnt that one working? :))

pmj...
It does actually still work - but she never logs on using that Skype
UserName any more.

Noreen stopped using that Skype Name (noreen742004) & started using
a different Skype Name (noreen2005) a while ago, when she had some
probs Setting it up on her New PC.

Old Grizzly...
thanks pmj ;-)

linedancer...
Done Noreen, I got your message, I have written you one back, but I don't
know how to send it :-)

pmj...
Just Press the [Return] or [Enter] Key!
:-)

Or Click the thingy on the Right of the Message Entry thing - the Icon
with the Down/Left Pointing Arrow on it.

BTW - You can also adjust how & when Messages get Sent (in the
Options)...

Menu>Tools>Options...>Hotkeys
In a Chat, Pressing "Enter" will:
( ) Insert a line Break
(/) Send Chat Message (that is the Default Setting)

Also, look in the "Advanced" Section of the Options - there are some
Options you can Set, to change the way Chat Messages are handled...

Chat
Chat Style to use: IRC-like Style (or Skype Default)
[/] Show TimeStamp with Chat messages
[/] Pop Up a Chat Window when someone starts a Chat with me.

The Skype Text Chat thingy is actually quite good!

You can "Bookmark" Chats, so you can leave them & come back to the
same Conversation later & you can give Chats a "Topic", so you can
have different Chats Running.
