andon...
Guess that you may have missed this BBC posting
about Brits living in Florida. Some interesting comments at the foot
of the page too :-)

John #8...

Interesting article, andon. It left out the oppressive summer & the
hurricanes along with the huge crime rate. Lots of weird bugs, alligators,
rednecks, the list goes on. To leave the UK & live in Florida is nuts.

Rabbit...
Eh I've been to Florida several times and never saw a genuine Redneck. I had
to got to Georgia ( Dahlonega to be exact) to see a genuine Redneck :-)

andon...
You could have travel far closer to home and seen plenty in East
Anglia

Rabbit...
Ah but would they have a flat bed truck in East Anglia ???:-)

andon...
very possibly. It has the biggest share of the UK market for them.

It's just my opinion but you have to have plenty of money to commute
North every summer. Anyway andon, to each his/her own. .

andon...
I agree with you John. I wouldn't go even if it was a 2 hr flight.
Like you, I prefer the country lanes and the seasonal changes.

Rabbit...
I couldn't live there but they do have some nice country scenery away from
the tourist haunts. Oh and they do have seasonal changes....hurricane season
and non hurricane season :-)

andon...
But they have enormously over-proportioned heads and silly voices.
I would be forever tripping over their huge floppy feet too.
