Aries...
What is the best thing to use for cleaning the screen of my laptop, does
anyone know? It's a hard screen, not one of those soft ones. TIA

MCC...
I've just bought myself a tub of VDU and Screen Wipes from Aldi in
Camborne.
It says on the tub "For use on LCD, TFT, scanners, monitors, coated glass
etc. Alcohol free, non-smear formulation."
Seem fine so far.
Failing them I shall have to resort to Brillo pads and Vim

Aries...
LOL, I've got brillo pads but no Vim, gosh that's a blast for the past LOL.
So VDU and screen wipes huh, now I don't have an Aldi near enough so I
wonder where else I'd get them from ?

Mikk...
Iv'e used Mr Muscle (window and glass) and Windolene - spray, not the
pink gunk stuff, but the cheapest and just as good stuff is plain h2o
and a lintless cloth - or an old t shirt in my case.

Get yourself one of those spray bottles from the garden section of
Wilko's, fill it with warm water, adjust the spray so it's like a fine
mist, and use that and a bit of elbow grease.

Needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, the laptop should ideally be
powered off in case you get a bit heavy handed with the spray

Aries...
Thanks Mikk, so must water and fine spray, thanks :)

datasmog...
Meths.
Put a small quantity in a tumbler, dip a lint free cloth in and gently
rub over the screen.
Drink what's left.

If you're fussy about what you drink, use vodka.

Aries...
LOL, ta Ray, vodka it is :)

West Stand Bowler...
Will red wine be OK ?

datasmog...
Now you're being silly.

Tickettyboo...
If you waste red wine I will thump you!

BoyPete...
Yeah..try Gin ;)
