David C...
My feet havn't touched the ground this summer!

BunnyHare...
Welcome home. Sounds as if you have had great travels and met some lovely
people

David C....
Thanks Barb.

I think that you are right, it's been a really good year for meeting &
making new friends.
As for famlies, the old adage re. choosing friends, but not familiy
comes to mind!

Regards, David C.

(3-weeks across the pond, then Scotland & Newcastle, 2 fun illed
weeks in Cyprus & now the Norf, again . )

The original scoot up to the W. Midlands was extended to a few days in
Scotland. I feel sorry for the car.............

(Since I rembered that Sandra owed me a lunch, ( I never, ever miss
out on free food!), I took a little diversion into Rabbit-land.)

Rabbit...
You'll be getting adopted by the Tykes :-)

David C....
No way!
Remember I'm only a 4th generation Englander, Dad's family used to stay in
the West Highlands, then there's my Kosher maternal grandmother.........
As always, breeding will out!

David C....
I am not a 'Merkin, I have normal ears :-)

Rabbit...
Sheesh you sound like your average Merkin, claiming *Granny's Heilen Hame*
:-)

Pity about the weather, ( I'm not used to rain anymore.), but the sun
did peek out at times.

Rabbit...
Times ??? It's quality which counts and when it was dry it was warm enough
to sit outside a cafe for afternoon tea/coffee. That's quality weather for
the second half of September :-)

David C....
I thought that it was a trifle chilly, but I'm just back from Cyprus, so my

Rabbit...
Trifle is meant to be chilly :-)

David C....
Some folks like it hot....

blood must have thinned out a little......

Rabbit...
Nah it means you aren't as hardy as the three real Scots who were enjoying
the heat, not to mention the waitress who threatened you with the castle
dungeon :-)

David C....
I'd hoped that you wouldn't mention the dungeon, still it's probably
cosier than Wally's bunker!

Rabbit...
Yeah, well Wally has been in the bunker often enough to almost make it
homely :-)

(Thunks, must learn the local dialect, so I can disguise my origins.
Not so sure what to do about the tan, especially when compared with
the pale Scots..... :-P

Rabbit...
You forgot to mention the red hair and * See you Jimmy* tartan hat :-)

Ayrshire tourism was promoted as usual, including the wonders of
Dunoon, the "easy" climb to Dundonald Castle & a trip over the Clyde
to view the Dumbarton Rock.

I'm not quite sure how IKEA & Carpet-Rite were included in the
travels, but........

Rabbit...
That's what happens when you are the only person I know with a handy estate
car, in my hours of need. 'Sides it was only a minor detour :-)

David C....
Your knight in shining armour at your service, as always m'lady.
Just don't mention Mickey Dee's (free vouchers) or the Clyde Tunnel:-)

Rabbit...
OK I won't mention them :-)

(Do I have to return to your IKEA when you've finally decided what to buy?)

Rabbit...
I'll add the thought to my list ( short) of knights in shining armour upon
whom I'll be calling :-)

David C....
Once a knight, always a knight, etc, etc?

JoeH...
One a King aways a King
But once a knight is enough

(Rather than geting lost in Braehead again, just let me know what you

Rabbit...
I didn't get lost in Braehead, I wasn't driving and I *never* tell the
driver where to go ;-)

want & I'll deliver it to you.)

Rabbit...
Right please deliver George Clooney and four other hunky young men. George
can keep me from panicking ( oh yes please :-) ) while the four hunky men
clean out my loft/garage, build flat packs, transport furniture etc ;-)

It was too cold for the Green Shutters, but a Morrisons provided an
alternative lunch.

Good farmhouse digs too, much better than the Newcastle Hotel, (sorry
Joe!), all in all , an unexpectedly interesting trip.

Rabbit...
Doing my bit for Ayrshire tourism I'll name names

David C....
You must be on their payroll by now.......

Rabbit...
Remember a cousin, of a cousin through marriage ( or something like that )
of a friend of mine is on the payroll. :-)

Driving 450+ miles home in the one day is OK, but it's not a trip I'd
want to be undertaking too often.

Public thanks to our resident Rabbit for her services, it's much more
fun to get lost with a native...........

Rabbit...
Lost ???? You said we weren't lost, just exploring the other
routes/directions, but hey no man ever admits to getting lost while driving
:-)

David C....
Not when he has a female navigator wearing the wrong specs.
(Pink tint perhaps?)
Maybe it was the upside-down map that was too confuzzling?

Rabbit...
OI!!! The map was never upside down :-P

David C....
Just the navigator....

Rabbit...
Oh your driving wasn't *that* bad :-)

David C.

Cheers, David C.

Jackie...
Sounds as though you have had a good time travelling around David, I am sure
our Rabbit looked after you well.
