I've only just noticed - doing a bit of hopping myself + PN ADSL had a drop
out a bit back too.

Yep I've been getting disconnections every evening for ages and Plusnet
asked BT to apply interleaving to my connection to see if that would stop
them occurring. That was on Monday 11th September. They said it would
probably take a couple of days to do. It just didn't happen, so PN asked
them again on Friday 22nd. Saying this time it could take up to 72 hours to
be implemented. Still waiting. The discosaren't really bothering me since
they usually occur when I'm watching TV and the computer is in hibernation
mode, and my router always automatically reboots within second. Almost
every time it happens the synch rate drops, and I reckon this is why my
download speed is much lower than they reckon it should. Anyhow PN reckon
I shouldn't get any discos anyway. I send them a daily copy of my router
log now to show them exactly when the discos occur. The only pattern I can
see is that they mostly happen in the period between 18-00 and 21-00 hours,
but at random times within that period. So it's nothing electrical in the
home or street lighting and the like. I've only ever had it happen once
during the time of booting up first thing and 18-00.
