Have fun with your new toy. I had one of those once upon a time but got
jackie...
|
Didn't you like it Barb??
BunnyHare...
|
No wasn't keen and with all the family at home at the time I found it
wasn't big enough! Don't use the microwave a lot now apart from making
coffee and defrosting
jackie...
|
I would agree Barb, I think it is only suitable for one or two persons
and saves me having to heat up the whole oven on my normal cooker.
I use the microwave only for heating mainly liquid items and defrosting, it
is good for fish dishes though.

Looks nice :-)
What do you/others use to stop baked beans exploding all over the inside
when you heat them up?
Jackie...
|
To stop beans exploding put clingfilm over the top of the container but make
pmj...
|
Well, that doesn't actually *stop* them exploding, does it?
It just stops them splattering all over the inside, when they do
explode.
:-)
The best way to stop them from exploding is just not to heat them up
for too long!
Or to use a lower Power Setting, so that they Heat through thoroughly,
without exploding.
Jackie...
|
You are so right pmj, I forgot to mention use a lower setting or less time,
I was just thinking of them popping all over the microwave
|
|
some perforation holes in the film
no more trouble!!
Jeff Gaines...
|
OK, thanks :-)
I tend to put a small plate on top, I'll have to get some cling film. I
saw an anti splatter thing once in a catalogue but can't find one now.

Good buy Biffo, I have been using them for a few years now, especially good
for just one or two persons.
A different make but mine gets lots of use.

Well it will get used a lot more now Jackie, no good sitting there taking up
space and not using it, as before ;-)))
