Stephen Baker...
Have your say, I've had mine.

Rabbit...
Well some cars ( Volvo springs to mind) already have permanent headlights,
and quite a few others either have or the drivers just turn them on with the
ignition 'cos there's a lot up here drive with permanent lights. Personally
I'd rather see the enforcement of the law against using fog lights at any
time when there is no fog.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Here here. One of my beefs too. I reckon I will wear out my fog lights by
flashing them at oncoming drivers who are using theirs illegally, rather
than by legitimate use in fog, heavy rain or snow.

Doug Weller...
And stop people using their 'running lights' instead of their headlights
please, they don't help at all.

Bigbazza...
My thoughts on it !..

Are you a person ..living in the UK ?

If so...I can only say ...You have given over the sovereignty of your own
Country to a 'Foreign' Power !!... A Shame on you for giving 'England's once
great power to some of your former 'Enemies'..!!

Bigbazza...
By the way..I am not saying that having your lights on or even off has
anything to do with my comment here !...I personally think that it is a good
idea !...But to be told by a 'Foreign' parliament...That is what I am saying

Rabbit...
Some of us have been told what to do by a foreign parliament for 300 years.

Ali...
You can blame James VI for moving to London.

Jeff Gaines...
What a load of old Haggis :-)

From what I remember of my history lessons some Scottish king - (called
Jimmy naturally) came to England and became James 2 of England, Jimmy
947 of Scotland. He was particularly famous because he also wrote the
bible, well at least all those I have seen.

I think that makes England ruled by foreigners rather than vice versa!!!

Rabbit...
Yeah but it took a Scot to rule for about 100 year before they had a
parliament to make the laws, but hey it jbexed out OK in the end, we got a
brand new building which drops parts on the inmates ( OK the roof beams did
miss them when they fell but.....). Now you don't get that in the English
parliament :-)

Wally...
You do suprise me Sandra I didn't think you were a day over 250

Wally (running like stink)

Rabbit...
You can run but you can't hide :-)

Tickettyboo...

Tickettyboo...
LOL, you do make me laugh Barry. Like it or not, understand it or not,
Britain is part of the EU and has input and a vote on decisions. Sometimes
there are things that we, as individuals, dislike and disagree with, but
that is par for the course with all laws made by all governments.
Oh, and, as I am sure Rabbit will point out, it's Britain, not England
that the law will affect :-)

Ali...
I wonder if the people in Perth think they have given over the sovereignty of
their own State to a 'Foreign' Power in Canberra? Brussels is a lot closer
to London than Canberra is to Perth.

Former enemies? Yes *former* enemies, like Scotland, Spain, the Netherlands,
France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Denmark, and others. Also long
time friends like Portugal (since 1386), the Netherlands (provided William of
Orange to be our king), Germany (provided George I-IV, William IV), France
(gave us William I,II, Henry I-VI, Richard I-III, John), Denmark ( gave us
Canute and other kings), Spain (favourite holiday destination), Italy (WWI
ally), and others. And Scotland.

Tickettyboo...
and for whole generations, none of those countries have been 'enemies'

Ali...
Except Scotland :^)

And we mostly restrict the fighting to sporting occasions.

within their lifetime. The war with Germany was over before I was born, to
regard them as enemies now would be (to my way of thinking) to negate the
sacrifices that were made by so many who fought and gave so much. What did
they fight for if it wasn't for greater understanding?

You may notice amongst that lot, that a lot of European countries have shared
a ruler with England at one time or another, and the English are descended
from immigrants from those countries, who mostly came over while the
countries were linked, so is Europe actually foreign?

Tickettyboo...
Not to me, though the differences between nations is interesting, the
similarities are great.

by proxy>

!

Rabbit...
When was *England* a great power ?

BMW drivers seem to do this anyway in order to draw attention to
themselves, although why they couldn't have waited a bit longer, saved
up a bit more and bought a proper Mercedes I'll never know.
(No I'm not jealous)
