We have just had a very big power-cut locally, been off for 2 hours.
Luckily we had candles and matches handy.

he!he! I came back to my computer as soon as the power came back because it
had not shut down just to check it was o.k!! I put all the switches off when
the power did go
didn't want a sudden surge when it came back on.

Did you read about the huge power outage across Europe on Saturday?
Power failed first in Cologne, Germany, before shutting down across
parts of France, Italy, Spain and Austria. Belgium, the Netherlands and
Croatia were also affected.

Re: the power failures you mentioned I read in the paper yesterday that it
had caused a baby boom in those countries!!! I don't think that would happen
