In the small print it seems he's not being quite as generous as he made
out. Free travel is internal within towns, not between towns apparently
(according to today's Telegraph).

If that's the scheme starting April 1st, it's free travel within a local
authority (District/Borough), which may be one town or several.
Additionally, in several counties the districts have got together to provide
a joint scheme, sometimes without time limits as well. I am given to
understand that Cornwall has such a countywide scheme; I know Cleveland does
(even though Cleveland doesn't exost any more).
