I watched from the nasa tv site on my poota. Ooh I would love to be (near)
there when one of those things goes up into space!

I once stood in a swamp for 5 hours being eaten by mosquitos waiting
for a launch, then they postponed it :-(
Went up next day, we were 50 miles away but went outside to
watch/listen, awe inspiring!

I've been about as close as you can get without an official pass to the
grounds and it's awesome. I thought I'd seen it all on telly but I was
surprised at how different it was when the Shuttle took off. Awesome it was.

LOL suppose so. We saw the launch site last year and even though we were
as near as was allowed it was still miles away. The size of it amazed me,
it is ginormous !.
