While the good lady is away for a few days I thought I would get a new
kitchen installed for her. I went to B & Q we picked one out including sink

All I have is the tops and the very bottom of

cooker and hob. I was told it would be delivered by lunchtime today. I
booked a kitchen fitter chappie, who arrived this morning and between us we
stripped the old kitchen out. Everything was reduced to fit in the skip. I
was feel chuffed with myself.

Oh dear! what a shambles, I do hope you get it all sorted today and
compensated!!!
I am pleased today as we have had a small table delivered that I ordered in
January!! a phone call last week
they said it was in and was waiting for the label to be put on it and I
would get it in 72 hours - that was last Monday
- a long 72 hours!!!!!!!!

Joy of joys at 11:45 B & Q rolled up in the lorry and podgy driver said you
ain't gonna like this mate. I thought it was just his standard joke, so I

Now why am I not surprised!! There was one of those complaints pages in a
newspaper last week which ran a special on several similar situations from
B&Q. I was really amused to read this week that B&Q are wondering why their
profits are going down this year. They had all sorts of ideas about new this
and new that but I didn't read one word about good customer service
featuring in the plans.

asked him why? All I've got on are the worktops and plinths, they haven't
loaded anything else. I asked him where the duck were the units he shrugged
and had no idea. Probably on another lorry mate. He gave me a freephone
number to dial, which I did. They were going to get straight back to me,
I've not heard a peep from them yet. I will have to pay the fitter for his
time so I reckon I want some compensation. All I have is the tops and the
very bottom of the units, nothing in between. The water has been turned off,
the old cooker disconnected and I am getting a little more cross with each
couple of minutes that passes.

It was a *huge* warehouse. It burnt for a couple of days. AND I've got a =
B&Q kitchen, fitted by them, and it's perfectly suitable for the job for =
which it is intended. I ain't starvin' that's for sure! Looks good too!

What on earth is the matter with firms these days? Why oh why did they put
the kitchen on two lorries?
There must be something in the water that causes common sense to fly out of
the window!
Make B&Q pay for their lack of customer care - you're the man to do it Eric!

Oh dear Eric, Flanders and Swann had a good deal to say about that sort of
thing didn't they?. Hope you can really lean on them tomorrow. Don't forget
to tell them you've "taken advice" on compensation:))
