How solid is this version?

It seems OK to me - I just Downloaded it (this new Version of
IrfanView - V 3.99) & tried it.
It's been nearly a Year since the last Version, which suggests that
*that* Version was pretty stable, otherwise he would have released
a "BugFix" Version for it.

Read the History and a couple of new features that I might
occasionally play with, but most of the changes seem NMT.

I think this Version is just adding some Features that people have
prolly asked for (or that the Author thought would be useful to have)
IrfanView *already* does a whole load more things than most people
ever get to find out!

How very true, many pros will run it for 'run of the mill' jobs, as it
loads faster than PhotoShop. The re-sample algorithm (Lanczos) is
reputably superior to PS (Bicubic) too. Note here that I'm not having a
go at PS, it's an industry standard and a much more sophisticated prog.

I think they may be new as they have the same release number viz. 3.99.
It shouldn't hurt if you get them again though.
