I was right then, we almost did an Australia - scored in the last 6
minutes - but only twice. We've got some under 11 year olds running up and
down the crescent shouting Ing-ger-land are going to win the World Cup, and
some car horns tooting right now. How silly?

Just as Peter Crouch scored the first goal I glanced out of the window and
saw this:
It was so long it couldn't negotiate the bend in the crescent so had to
revers all the way back :)

Have you noticed the way those things are 10 a penny these days?

Round here, we can't drive more than a few Yards without coming
across (at least one, if not more) of them.

Well, it seems that there are more Stretch Limos around in all the
Estates (& the Council Estates) round here, than there are in the
(so-called) "Flash", upmarket areas of the Town!

Maybe the Firms that hire the Stretch Limos know that they have
a ready market.

Several of the Taxi Firms round here have started using them.

They don't actually cost all that much to hire - when you have
a bunch of about 8 or 10 or so people going out for a drink,
it's cheaper to hire a Stretch Limo than a few Taxis or a Minibus!

& for a Kids Birthday Party, it's prolly as cheap as going
to MacDonalds or Burger King!

& it saves the parents from having to organise a Birthday Party
& make a Cake etc.

It's the first one I've seen up here since Def Leppard were driven around in
one about 20ish years ago. They all originated locally in Sheffield 6 -
before they made it they use to practise in the local school hall. And boy
didn't they need to. First called Atomic Mass I seem to remember.

It seems everybody (& that includes all the Girls of about 5, 6,
7, 8 & 9) hires one of those Stretch Limos for a Birthday Party
& the Teenagers hire them for a night down the Town in the Pub
or whatever.
