Billy Shears...
Can any of you kind people point me, on behalf of Mrs Shears, to where
she can find out about the technique for making a loopy scarf without
using needles?

BunnyHare...
Sorry, sounds interesting but I don't know where to find out about the
technique
Don't think we have met before so just thought I would say Hi

She says you use some kind of cardboard template, like we used to use
for making pom-poms when we were kids.
Mrs S saw a pattern for doing this at the weekend. But she didn't buy it.
And now she's driving me loopy...please help if you can!

Bill P...
Wonder if this will help. trouble is its an American firm.

Put a search in web-search for "Knitting Boards" you may get some idea.

shaz...
That looks like a bigger version of the French knitting we used to do with 4
nail in a cotton reel

Billy Shears...
Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated.
It has appeased Mrs S, but she's still looking for the elusive
instructions. The ones we have looked at so far produce knitted items
with fairly small holes (I'm being technical now, to impress her).
The scarf pattern she glimpsed apparently produces big loops. We'll keep
trying.

Bill P...
Here is another site Finger knitting.
