Banana...
If you are a user of it but haven't had a peep recently, it might be worth one.

There is a lot more high definition coverage of the UK than there was, say, a month ago
and looks like some new roadmap icons and bits and things.

pmj...
Oh wow!!!
So there is!!!

I spent *ages* looking around various other places recently, but
hadn't looked at England all that much, after my first look around!

Yep - there's a whole load more places that have now got much better
(Higher) Definition Satellite Views, isn't there?

But unfortunately, where I live (even though it's a town of over
70,000 people) still hasn't got the High Definition Pics yet.
:-(

To the North of us (but still South of the Thames!) has got the High
Definition Views though.

& over in Aruba, (in the Caribbean) I can actually see my Brother's
House!

& the Cars on the Roads!

& I can see my Sister's Street (in the far South of Argentina),
though the Pics don't show her actual House.

Ebeneezer Ponder...
Cool! I can see my house from here! ;)

Ebeneezer Ponder...
Strangely enough I can't see *any* people :-/

Looking again though there are a few but very hard to spot.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
We have 3 bowling greens near us, and you can see people on them, and on
the pavements nearby.

BunnyHare...
Well our bit needs updating. I reckon its about three years out of date
:-(

Rabbit...
Not in my area there isn't :-( In fact I wonder if CalMac ferries have been

Pam the goose...
OK, you people, I've followed this thread from square one.
But what is the URL?
Am I supposed to D/L this to my puter and run it from here
or is it on the web to do it from there?

Rabbit...
See ray's reply

I reckon it sounds an interesting hour or so to spend:)

datasmog...
Download the free version.

Pam the goose...
Many thanks, Ray:)
Got it and finding it fascinating!
I love maps and this is one up on any maps I've had on my PC
before now.
Be back in UPS in a few weeks, I've got a new toy:))

Ebeneezer Ponder...
You'll spend more than a hour on it I'm sure :)

Pam the goose...
You're right, can't stop, got alot more looking to do!
Yes!!! I like it:)

Ebeneezer Ponder...
I knew you would :)

ray had provide the url to the program :)

Rabbit...
Be warned that hour or two will probably be at least double that
particularly the first time, it's highly addictive.

Pam the goose...
You're right!
Good, int it?

Rabbit...
When you get a good res bit zoom in as far as you can and try tilting the
Earth, you can practically walk along the ground. I almost walked across the
Golden Gate Bridge :-)

Pam the goose...
After tea I'll definitely have a go:)

told that their Arran ferry now berths inland on the mainland, now that's
what I call magic :-) Google have moved a whole town inland.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
Good for us. When you zoom in and the pan down to get a side view, you can
definitely tell my car is a Celica. :)

Banana :)

JoeH...
Wow! There's a huge increase in detail in our area. It's a good 3
years out of date but I'm still impressed.

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
Looked at my house a couple of days ago. It zooms in so that I can see the
individual larger shrubs and trees in the garden quite well. The car comes
out quite well and the colour (Cinnabar) was pretty true. However the car
next door was one he owned up to about 18 months ago, so the piccies are
still not that recent.

Graham...
The current picture doesn't show my conservatory which we built in
2004. The image that was up a few weeks back did show the
conservatory. That means that the image now up for this area is older
than the previous image, and it is less detailed. Very odd.

Also it used to show houses being built behind us nearing completion.
It now shows a muddy building site. Have they put the wrong image up?

Aries...
Unfortunately I cannot see so well on this laptop and I do not have access
to a desktop any more

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
Nah! The more selective vintage style:

None of the modern muck here. ;)
