Interesting - but absolutely no mention of contention which must have some
relevance?

In journalism these days you never mention stuff you know your reader
will not understand and you are unable to explain in words the average
comprehensive school graduate will understand.

Apart from that it's a good piece, the only thing wrong is it's in the
wrong place.
It should be on the front page of the red tops where your average web
surfer will see it.

Can't really argue with all that, it was all hype of an unproven product. A
bit IMHO like ( or so I've read) the salesmen now telling people they need
to buy new digital tellies before analogue is switched off.

& in the Daily Telegraph today (Saturday 1/9/00), there's an
8 Page Supplement - "Broadband Special", with contributions from
various writers/journalists (plus Adverts from some suppliers.
Orange/Freeserve AOL, Demon, Sky & ntl/Telewest etc.
