Jackie...
Is it today, have not seen it advertised anywhere??????

Tickettyboo...
next week, I think Jackie. Plenty of time for us all to get round to your

Anita Carter...
Are you making them this week as well as next week, Jackie - if so can I

Jackie...
You are very welcome Anita, I usually make a lot!!

pmj...
I bet you can't make as many Pancakes as I can eat!!!
:-)

JoeH...
I bet you can't eat more than those that get made LOL

I (like Boo,) like to eat them the traditional (proper!) way, with
Lemon Juice (Real, Lemon Juice, squeezed from a Lemon, not from
a Plastic bottle!) & Sugar on them.

JoeH...
Is there any other (proper) way? ;-)

Yummy!

Jackie...
I only like sugar and lemon (real lemon) I don't think I fancy them with
anything else.
Anyway, my post should remind people for next week!!!

JoeH...
Indeed!

But *also* I like to have some with things like Raspberry Jam,
or Strawberry Jam or Golden Syrup, Honey or Black Treacle or
Chocolate Spread on them.
:-)

& occasionally I like savoury Pancakes as well, with things like
Mince (beef or lamb) or Peanut Butter etc, in them.

JoeH...
Ricotta (or any other) cheese and some *very* crisp onions - Yum!

Jackie...
Oh! no! not with onions

Tickettyboo...

Oi! I was first!

Jackie...
Right, a big stack of pancakes coming up, form a nice tidy queue!!

Anita Carter...
Oi, I thought of it first - move over

Jackie...
Now, now girls, please behave!!!

come for tea? :)

house. I like mine with lemon juice, thanks

Bram...
Crispy Peking Duck with mine ;-)

Jackie...
Nah!! just sugar and lemom Bram

Jackie...
he!he I had even bought the lemons, still they will keep. I love mine with
sugar and lemon yummy!!

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
You mean you haven't had a trial run today? Shame on you Jackie. LOL

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Next week I think Jackie, but that doesn't mean you can't have some today

Jackie...
Thank you FN, glad I havn't missed it!!

Jeff Gaines...
It's all very well talking about pancakes, how do I make then though,
any nice easy recipes?

Aries...
Here's a plain and simple one Jeff, make lots please and invite us all to
help you eat em :D

Ali...
Why do recipes never list all the other stuff you need? This one needs:
large mixing bowl
sieve
whisk or even a fork
rubber spatula
pan
bowl (for the melted butter)
wodge of kitchen paper
spoon
ladle (optional)
palette knife
pan slice
plate
sheets of greaseproof paper
(second) plate fitted over simmering water (in saucepan?)

Does a normal kitchen have all these things available all the time?

Jeff Gaines...
I think it would if there were a woman in the house, they're the sort of
things they like as birthday/Xmas presents after all :-)

Ali...
Greaseproof paper? I wish I'd known that sooner.

Jeff Gaines...
Thanks Val, looks simple enough even for me :-)

I'll have a go!

pmj...
No need to make them!!!
:-)

Jackie's said she'll be making loads, so we can have some of hers!
:-)

As for the Recipe...
Flour, Eggs & Milk is what you need. [*1]

Yes, they have to (or are s'posed to) be in a certain proportion,
but that's a minor detail! - I', sure someone can come up with the
right proportion.

Or a bit of searching the web might help?
-)

[*1]
& a Frying Pan, with some fat in, to Fry them in.
& some Lemons, to squeeze on them.
& some Sugar to sprinkle on them.

Wally...
Come along to Olney to see the pancake race, just a
couple of miles from me.
I'll be serving pancakes from the bunker.

Jackie...
That would be nice Wally but they have a pancake race in Hastings, a bit
nearer

Wally...
Maybe nearer for you Jackie but just 4 miles away for me, not
that makes any difference to me, I will be in my lorry, probably
2 or 3 hundred miles away.

The Olney race is the original one, any others are towns copying
a tradition.

Pam the goose...
Takes me back! My brother lived there for a few years.

as well. LOL

Anita Carter...
I see you are a man of few words today

Bram...
as always :-)

I am very busy Anita. That's why.

Just got in from wxrk. Should be sitting with my feet up really but I got
stuff that needs doing.

Just popped in to see if There was any news.

Anita Carter...
Nice to see you paying us a visit, Bram :))

Bram...
..and nice to see you, too. :-)
