It appears datemas is playing up again by not showing posts, I have
just seen this on another group.

This is why I stopped using it as my main server. It was happening all the
time.

That's the first time it has fell over here.

Put a beer mat under one of the legs. That should stop it falling over

They did post up a few days ago that they would be doing maintenance and on
the webpage now it says

2006-09-15 13:15h: The server is offline for maintenance.

2006-09-14 12:15h: The expire task runs since over 30 hours and has not yet
completed. Since the index file of all listed news messages has grown over 2
Gigabytes, it does not fit into main memory any more for reorganizing it.
Now the server has to sort and weed it on disk and swap. It may take days
instead of the 45 min it took before. The server stays online for the expire
run, but the connection may become very slow.

I see the datemas.de server still seems to be down, but surely that doesn't
explain the lack of posts in here - only 38 (now 39) since 18-00 yesterday?
I thought lots in here were still using NIN. And nntp.aioe.org seems to
be back up and w*rking again
