Perhaps not everyone's cuppa but I love the old Ska and reggae tunes - not
this new rap cr*p.

Seriously great Tyke. Launched straight into Realplayer 10.5

Yep, RealPlayer can Play the actual ShoutCast Audio Streams (that
are in the .PLS File) fine, but some people's Systems may not have
.PLS Files associated with RealPlayer.
On mine, for example, they are (& came) Associated with Power DVD.
So I had to dig around & adjust things a bit to get them to Play
directly from the .PLS File.

Ska, Skat, Rocksteady, Reggae and Dub = Music
Rap as you correctly say has always been mis-spelt.

You ain't heard nuffink if you haven't heard Neil Diamond doing a Rap
version of Red Red Wine :-)
andon...

I am quite prepared to believe that Neil Diamond has produced a whole
heap of *rap in his life. Anyone who can have written, arranged,
performed so much great material is bound to have generated duff
stuff too.

Oh you can go off people you know :-P

I read what andon Posted (about Neil Diamond) as being
a *compliment* (to him)?

I don't think that I'll ever go off Neil Diamond's stuff though.
He is only 65 this year but who would have thought 40 years ago that
he would go from writing Coca-Cola adverts and #1 hits for the
Monkeys to such a prolific artist.

I used to collect 12" Dub imports from Jamaica in the 70's. Back in

|
I never got *that* heavily into Dub - but I do remeber buying
the Album (on Vinyl) called "Pick a Dub" & a few others.
& I can't now find it!
:-(
So that means I will have to go hunting around for a copy of it.

the days when I lived in the city and the 2 Sevens Clashed.
Many hours of thanks are going to be coming for this link.

Pleased to help and share - sites like that want supporting :-)

I've found an online radio station based in Vancouver that plays some great
classic stuff 24/7.
So pleased to find it as the old ska tunes are very hard to come by now.

Yep!
It's Great Stuff!!!

That depends where you look?
|
Playing it seamlessly through my Musicmatch Jukebox software.
Here it is...............
pmj...

Brill Page!!!
Great!!!
Thanks!!!
:-)
But the Audio Stream on that Page (available via the Link to the
.pls - PlayList File) is a ShoutCast Stream...
which contains the *actual* URL(s) of the Audio Stream(s)...
[playlist]
numberofentries=2
Title1=Scratch : dub, reggae, rocksteady & ska : early 60's ska
to modern-day dub
Length1=-1
Title2=(European Relay) Scratch : dub, reggae, rocksteady & ska :
early 60's ska to modern-day dub
Length2=-1
Version=2
ShoutCast Streams will Play OK in *some* Media Players (such as
MusicMatch Jukebox, (some Versions of) RealPlayer WinAmp & stuff
like that), but not all Versions of WMP (windoze Media Player)
Will Play it (that depends on what CoDecs are Installed.
But also (for anybody who has probs with the .PLS URL), try the URLs
that I have Posted (above) for the *actual* Streams, cos windoze
Media Player (& some other Media players) don't like Reading the PLS
File & just gives an Error, (though it *can* read the Actual Audio
Stream, that the .PLS File points to! - If the right CoDecs are
present on the System)
Thanks Russell!!!
Great Music!
:-)
