Still very warm, but not as hot as it has been. We nipped over to
Carsington Water and had a lovely walk with a breeze blowing off the water

Thanks for that ᧧, brought back a few memories. Visited Carsington Water
quite a few years back. Shortly after they had finished it, very early
1990s I think. Don't remember the Kugel, and I would have been interested
in that. Perhaps it was introduced later. Come to think of it I think the
lake was still filling up at the time. There were still lots of contractor
lorries buzzing around. There was a load of birds to watch though. I
remember a good ½ hour watching a heron catching his tea.

We live near the Peak District National Park. Lucky us!
Jollidays will be a bit scarce this year, cos the time is just not
available, so you are going to see a fair bit of local stuff over the next
few months

I've got three lots of local stuff to get on a web but I haven't found a
round tuit yet :-(

Nice Pics!!!
I notice that the Reservoir (I gather that it *is* a Reservoir?)
is full?
Lucky you up there!!!
Round here, in the South, we haven't got very many Reservoirs
& the ones that we do have are nearly empty!
:-(
There has been hardly any Rain down here for weeks on end & the
Water supply situation is getting worse by the day.
I wonder how long it will be, before they (the people who decide
things like that) decide to do something about transferring the Water
around the Country, from the places that have plenty, to the other
places that need it, but don't have much Water?
If they can do it with Electricity & Gas, then why not with Water?
Ali...

Because it's heavy, and needs lots of energy to pump uphill.
And it would need enormously wide pipes (gas is compressible, water isn't)
