Well...Thank you Anne !.... I don't remember you ..But that could be my age
...Welcome back again !...I use the German Server most of the time for
News groups...I pick up the others from my own ISP !...

If you really are interested the new 'puter was built by a local shop. It
has 1gb memory and an 80 gb hard drive plus the second drive from my old
machine which holds all my own data. I'm not sure of the speed it says AMD
Ath64 3200+ whatever that means.
My one and only news reader is Freeserve, I did try to get on to the German
news server but after they changed to an annual sub I couldn't seem to make
it work. If any kind person would let me
have the address maybe I will try again, but the most important thing is
that I can now communicate with the group again.

Are you sure it hasn't expired. You have to dial in once every 90
days to keep it alive. Your 'memories' page gives a 404.

Yes its ok. I have mail in there from time to time and dial in. Not
difficult to re-activate it if it does lapse though. Daughter has done
it several times :-))
