Sun has been out all morning and is still shining brightly. Still a
little chilly out there - will be interesting too see how cold it gets
the rest of today. The forecasters have said we are going into a mild
spell!

Afternoon all!
The day started bright & sunny but the sun gradually disappeared and we are
now in the middle of a hailstorm and it it still cold although the wind
jamps...

My BYT didn't *gradually* disappear, it went suddenly around 2 and within
minutes the place was white with hail. It didn't last long though before
turning to rain and within half an hour the BYT was back but the air was
decidedly more chilly so I presume Arran got hail and/or snow which lay on
top of what was already there.
I had been looking for an excuse not to play in the garden but hail wasn't
really what I had in mind :-)

We got two lots of hailstones this afternoon.
They were so big it was unbelievable.
But now we're back to the BYT.

We had 5 minutes rain about 30 minutes ago - not heavy, all gone now .

We had 5 minutes of heavy hail at about 17-00. So much so the roads, cars,
gardens, hedges and everything became white. The ice on the cars is still
there some 7½ hours later, even though the air temperature is still above
the freezing point of water (well 2.2°C to be precise - but it feels
around -2°C. Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Well, it has caught up with us - it has been raining here for the last
couple of hours - not heavy, but definitely rain !

Well the weather report I have reckons the minimum temp in Walthamstow
tonight will be 4°C. Presumably that will be around 04-00 or 05-00.

Been a lovely sunny day here to and has brought lots of people walking along
the seafront that wind is still rather chilly though.
